The Last Interview by Gillian Walker made me think of the adage “Never Meet Your Idols”. It made me smile. Thanks for including it in the issue.
“Nightmares” is everything I love about flash–visceral, emotional, and intense. I feel the author’s immediacy in writing this story, and am so glad I read it.
I loved Gillian Walker’s ‘The Last Interview.’ So much tension! And the ending was perfect.
“Nightmares” is an American haunting in so many ways, captured right before the ghosts settle into the earth. Deeply emotional, highly stimulating, and devoured by loss and loneliness. It drew me in from the very beginning with its oil slick colored horses. It’s very rare I read something so intense and moving.
Please have more Barry Fentiman Hall – he’s brilliant.
