I am blown away by this poem! I am very familiar with the original, and this poem, in its own way, is as good as Stevens’ “Sunday Morning.” What an original idea, to have the voice of the woman in the original, speaking from beyond the grave and musing on the last 100 years. Tremendous accomplishment.
