D. R. Leo’s “Snapshots” is a strong opener. Great issue!
I enjoyed “Snapshots” by DR Leo. I could feel the tension in the coffee shop. Great story.
I loved the piece, “Snapshots.” The author does a wonderful job pulling the reader into the story and allowing us to get to know the characters through place and experiences. Well done, DR Leo.
I heard about you at AWP and decided to check you out. I really liked the first story – about the woman in the coffee shop — and the first poem by Allyson Moore. The whole mag offered a good read, but I was thrown off by some of the formatting. One of the prose pieces had an extra space between the paragraphs, others did not. It looks like the pub style is to skip the indent on the first paragraph but that didn’t happen on “The Stalks and Beads.” Little things, but they caught my eye and pulled me out of the reading zone. Looking forward to 58.
“Snapshots” by D.R. Leo was captivating. The prose is superb. Love your magazine.
Darren Leo’s “Snapshots” is a wonderful moment in time. The distraction of memory blended with present surroundings captured the tension in that little shop. Things do change when we’re not paying attention, even when we think we are. The author pulled me in and wrapped the story beautifully.
Love “Snapshots”. Suspense and drama in one neat little package.
